Dr. Frank Brettschneider
The President of Port Huron Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT), PC, Dr. Frank Brettschneider possesses over 20 years of experience in general otolaryngology, oro-facial plastic surgery, and otolaryngic allergy treatment. A native of Michigan, Dr. Frank Brettschneider has practiced in the state since the start of his clinical career.
Dr. Frank Brettschneider attended Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Michigan, where he graduated with a degree in pharmacy in 1981. Dr. Frank Brettschneider was the valedictorian of his class, and he has maintained his pharmacist’s license to the present.
Upon completion of his pharmacy studies, Dr. Frank Brettschneider enrolled at Michigan State University in East Lansing, where he graduated with a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree and ranked in the top five percent of his class.
Between 1985 and1990, Dr. Frank Brettschneider completed an internship and a residency at Mount Clemens Regional Medical Center. Dr. Frank Brettschneider received practical training in general surgery before completing a specialized program in otolaryngology and oro-facial plastic surgery. Working in a trauma center in northern Detroit, Dr. Frank Brettschneider gained comprehensive surgical experience in all aspects of oro-facial surgery. He maintained an exemplary record during his time there and passed his board examination at the first sitting.
In 1990, Dr. Frank Brettschneider established Port Huron ENT in Port Huron, Michigan. Since then, Dr. Frank Brettschneider has overseen more than 600 major surgical cases per year. In demand both as an otolaryngologist and a surgeon, Dr. Frank Brettschneider maintains affiliations with four local hospitals and provides emergency room coverage in St. Clair County. Some of Dr. Frank Brettschneider’s specialties include surgical procedures to treat the larynx (vocal cords), the salivary glands, and the thyroid gland.
Dr. Frank Brettschneider received both otolaryngology board certification and oro-facial plastic board certification in 1993, followed by otolaryngic allergy board certification in 1999. In addition to these certifications, Dr. Frank Brettschneider holds accreditation from the American Osteopathic Colleges of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery.
Dr. Frank Brettschneider maintains memberships with a number of professional organizations, including the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery, the American Medical Association, the Michigan State Medical Society, and the American Osteopathic Association. He enjoys boating, playing tennis, and traveling in his spare time.
